The NEST

The first year of life is a crucial time for your baby’s development. At The Nest, we create a nurturing environment where your baby can explore their natural developmental journey with the gentle support of an Infant Developmental Movement Educator (IDME). Connecting together through interactive play we co-create a time of exploration.

This path is not just for babies.
It is for parents who long to be more than caretakers — who long to relate, to know, to feel, to wonder.

Welcome to THE NEST

Just as a nest provides comfort and safety for growth, our sessions offer a secure space for your baby to discover essential movement patterns that form the foundation for lifelong coordination, emotional resilience, and learning.

Every baby is unique, and so is every family. Together, we can ensure that your little one has the best start in life through gentle, loving, and informed support. By choosing The Nest, you’re not just investing in your baby’s growth—you’re stepping into a community that values gentle guidance, personal empowerment, and the joy of shared discovery. Let’s support your baby’s unique journey together, one step at a time

Our Principles

  • Non intrusive, non judgemental, enticing approach

  • Curiosity led focus - Following the baby’s needs and curiosity

  • Kindness and gentleness

  • Safe space - emotionally, physically, mentally

  • Place for education about the movement patterns - baby, the caregiver, the facilitator

  • Observation of movement patterns

  • Space for interaction and play

  • Perceiving through different senses (sight, touch, hearing, smell, movement)

  • Inclusion of the whole family into this educative and interactive process

  • Developing one’s sense of comfort and regulation

  • Using the high plasticity of the nervous system to facilitate supportive movement patterns

  • The three entities - space, the process of evolving, the relating

IDME, Somatic Movement Educator, Mindfulness Teacher, Workshops Facilitator

Barbora Kostrunkova

Barbora is a mindfulness teacher, movement educator, and designer and facilitator of workshops and trainings. Based in Berlin and present across Europe and Southeast Asia, she offers sessions that invite deep presence, embodied awareness, and authentic connection.

With over a decade of mindfulness practice and a background in contact improvisation, Barbora is a lifelong student of the relationship between body and mind — and how this inner dialogue echoes into our connections with others, with collectives, and with the world around us.

Her work is rooted in the power of being present: witnessing, allowing, and meeting the moment as it is. This attunement is especially alive in the interactions with babies, whose natural presence offers a profound mirror. Barbora supports individuals of all ages — from infants to adults — as well as groups, in exploring what it is to be fully alive.

Rebalancing Therapy

Sandra Messow

Sandra is a bodyworker and educator dedicated to supporting connection, presence, and movement—right from the very beginning.
Living between Berlin and Brazil, she offers Rebalancing therapy sessions and teaches the method to students, and accompanies families through private sessions and baby groups as an Infant Developmental Movement Educator (IDME).

Her work is grounded in a deep interest in embryology, anatomy, and how movement emerges and changes over time—sometimes becoming less accessible in the flow of life, whether in the body, in relationships, or in personal life transitions. With a gentle, research-informed approach, Sandra invites movement back into stuck places and supports babies and caregivers in finding more ease, connection, and trust in their journey together.
